About Dr. Blake McDonald

An Alabama native, Dr. McDonald’s love of the outdoors and the Western states led him to the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, where he received a bachelor of arts in biology. He then pursued and received his master’s degree in biomedical sciences with a focus in neuroanatomy at Colorado State University.

After a career in teaching, Dr. McDonald received his doctorate in chiropractic medicine at the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon.

As an athlete himself, Dr. McDonald understands the unique pressure and stress placed on the body when enjoying the great outdoors.  Cycling, running, skiing, snowboarding, hiking and other activities that make us all cherish Colorado will occasionally cause discomfort or pain due to injury or just continued activity.  Dr. McDonald appreciates the positive impacts these recreational activities have on our physical and mental well being, while understanding the toll they can take on our bodies as well.

At Backcountry Chiropractic, we welcome the opportunity to help Coloradoans continue to enjoy their favorite sports and pastimes well into their senior years.
